Ghost Pipes Linocut Art Print | Native Plant | Hand Carved and Hand Printed | 6x9 inch

The Ghost Pipes print is a simplistic and elegant depiction of Monotropa uniflora (ghost pipes, ghost plant, Indian pipes). It would fit perfectly in minimalist decor or even dark academia or moody aesthetics.

The ghost plant is usually found in small clusters at the base of trees, in the forests of both eastern and western North America, as well as Asia and South America. It is non-photosynthetic, meaning it does not produce any chlorophyll, leaving it white in color. Instead, it gets its nutrients from fungi that are connected to tree roots, making it part of a triangle of symbiosis.

Ghost Pipes is approximately 4.5x7 inches, printed on 6x9 Japanese Hosho paper. The design was hand carved from a rubber block, then printed by hand, making each print unique and perfectly imperfect. No two prints will be exactly alike. Relief printing is all about the process, and creates charming, one of a kind, handcrafted artwork.
