The Azalea Sphinx Moth is a sleek, fast-flying pollinator found throughout eastern North America. With its subtly striped wings and streamlined silhouette, it is most often admired at dusk, hovering at flowers with hummingbird-like precision. True to its name, its larvae feed primarily on azaleas and rhododendrons. Among these, the Flame Azalea is one of the most spectacular—an Appalachian native known for its brilliant blossoms ranging from fiery orange to golden yellow. Its early summer flowers add intense color to mountain forests and provide essential forage for insects and hummingbirds alike.

This print brings moth and flower together, highlighting their natural connection. The bold geometry of the art deco border complements the Flame Azalea’s dramatic, curling petals and the moth’s understated elegance.
